Samuel Thornton

Native of Rotherham, England. Played his college soccer for NCAA
Division I Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this past season, appearing in 15 games for the
Golden Eagles. Appeared in a total of 29 career games for Marquette. Played his first two seasons with
NCAA Division II Gannon in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he scored 11 goals as a sophomore before
transferring to Marquette. Was a teammate of fellow BlueGreen Scott Wilson while at Gannon.

Scott Wilson

Native of Ladybank, Scotland. Returns to the BlueGreens after starting
for the majority of the 2021 season for Duluth F.C. in a central defensive role. Played his college soccer
at NCAA Division III UW-Superior where he helped lead UW-Superior to three straight NCAA
Tournament berths. Former college teammates with current BlueGreens Blake Perry, Harry Ambler and
Alex Paredes at UW-Superior and Sam Thornton at Gannon.

Jake Starling

Native of Dade City, Florida. Played his collegiate soccer for NCAA Division II Florida Southern in Lakeland, Florida. Had a stand-out career for the Mocs, that saw him lead the team in minutes played during his junior and senior seasons. Long-time BlueGreen team captain who is entering his fourth season with the club. Approaching the club record for both total appearances and games started. Was nominated for the NPSL’s National XI and Golden Ball Awards following the 2022 campaign for Duluth F.C.
