About Lucas

Born in Pau and raised in Bayonne, Lucas Mostajo is a talented young French defender who enjoys playing several defensive positions, ranging from the sturdy center back to the energetic left back.

Mostajo plays his college ball with the Anderson Trojans in the South Atlantic Conference. The Trojans reached their conference final and the second round of the NCAA National Tournament last season and left Mostajo excited for more, “I love my team. Our good collective season helped me obtain two individual honors: all-conference team and all-region team.”

Mostajo, despite his young age, brings a unique history of experience to Duluth FC. He previously played with Aviron Bayonnais FC, who currently play in the fifth tier in France and are considered a semi-professional club. Bayonnais are famous for serving as an early academy for many French talents, including French legend Didier Deschamps and current Manchester City star Aymeric Laporte.

Mostajo is excited to join his new club and help Duluth in its third NPSL season, “I have heard good things about the club and its community. I am looking forward to knowing more about the city, the community and am excited to play”.
