About Dana

Returning after a successful 2018, Dana Kowachek will join the BlueGreens for a second season in 2019. Kowachek scored four goals for Duluth in 2018, tying for the regular season lead goal scoring position. One of those goals came in Duluth’s first game of the season against the Minnesota TwinStars, where he scored a late equalizer to help Duluth start the season positively.

In addition to his previous year with Duluth FC, Kowachek also played for Spokane Shadow FC in 2017, who compete in the West-Northwest Conference of the NPSL. He also made the NCAA DII Great Northwest Athletic Conference’s All Conference 2nd team while playing for Montana State University Billings in 2018.

Kowachek looks forward to improving on his first season with Duluth, “I am excited to improve from last season and go all the way this time. I am also excited to play in the US Open Cup and improve from last year along with playing Minneapolis again and showing them who deserves the conference title. I also look forward to seeing Lake Superior again and join a hard-working team that loves soccer as much as I do for the summer.”
