Duluth FC vs. Joy Athletic

Public Schools Stadium | Duluth, MN

May 27, 2023 | Matchday 4

Current 2023 Records (W-L-T):

Duluth: 3-0-0

Joy: 1-1-0

The BlueGreens return home after an eventful start to their season that has seen Duluth FC win three consecutive games, scoring seven goals and conceding just one. Now, Duluth must host Joy Athletic on May 27 to keep that streak alive.

Joy Athletic joined the NPSL in 2021 and have been an exciting part of the North conference ever since, including some high-scoring games against Duluth FC. The BlueGreens, however, have consistently been victorious against Joy, based in St. Louis Park, and won both games against the club in 2022.

While Duluth has been successful against Joy in the past, the club looks to be tough opposition this season, winning their first game of the season before most recently losing 2-3 to reigning conference champions Med City.

While there’s plenty of season left to be played, the 2023 season so far has seen the BlueGreens and Head Coach Sean Morgan make the most of the depth in the team’s roster.

Duluth has seen five players score this season so far with one goal for Rory Doyle, Tyler Limmer, Stefan Roeb, andDylan Zavatini, while Kostya Domaratskyy has contributed three. Duluth has also seen three different goalkeepers win games for the club this season, including James Price against the TwinStars, Ezekiel Foltz against Sioux Falls, and Alex Paredes against La Crosse Aris.

Duluth FC looks forward to welcoming you to our second home game of the season. Come join us at Public Schools Stadium and enjoy the beautiful game in the beautiful city!
