Duluth FC beat the visiting Minnesota Blizzard last Saturday in a 10-0 statement win, marking their final regular season home win of the 2024 season. The Blizzard are new to the league this season and are based in Lakeville, MN.
Duluth led by just 3-0 at halftime thanks to two goals from Tyler Limmer and one from Dylan Sumner. The fun was far from over, however, as Sumner was the first to get the scoring going in the second half to make it 4-0.
Myles Edmondson, Eduoard Nys, Felipe Santos, Felipe Carli, and Manny Morales all notched goals on the night to add up the numbers. Limmer also completed a hat trick against the Blizzard, which saw him surpass Sidney Warden as second-to-top all time goalscorer for the team at 17 career goals in all competitions. He is now two behind Kyle Farrar for the all-time spot.
Edu Nys’ goal against the Blizzard also helped him reach 13 goals this season and helped him stay in the race for the 2024 NPSL Golden Boot. Nys is now the club’s fourth-to-top all-time scorer.
Duluth will play its final regular season game of the year next week on July 6, traveling to play Siouxland United in Iowa.
