Duluth FC hits the road for the third match in a row on Wednesday, June 27, setting off to play Med City in Rochester. Duluth FC knows it has an exciting post-season ahead, with the number one seed already clinched for the coming conference playoff tournament. The BlueGreens, however, have games to play, points to gain, and lessons to learn before that tournament starts.
Wednesday’s game against Med City, the reigning conference champs, provides a possible preview of the eventual conference playoff final and also sees Duluth play their historied opponents in the NPSL North.
The two clubs joined the NPSL in the same year and every match up since has been an eye-catcher. Duluth beat Med City 1-0 at home earlier this year, with a winner from Liam Pritchard.
Duluth have yet to drop a point this season in NPSL play, earning 10 straight wins in an unprecedented run in the club’s history. Duluth has fared well against Med City, having won or drawn every match against the club since Sean Morgan took the reigns as head coach of the team.
