Duluth FC hits the road Wednesday, June 21, heading for Sioux Falls to face the Thunder for the second time this season. Sioux Falls currently sit bottom of the North conference with 2 points from 7 games, but have always been a difficult place to go on the road for fellow NPSL North clubs.
Duluth will arrive in South Dakota with a perfect 8-0-0 record from their first eight games of the NPSL season, a tremendous start to the season that has seen the BlueGreens clinch a spot in the conference playoffs with four games left to play.
One detail still to be decided is the seeding for the playoffs. The Dakota Fusion currently have 13 points from seven games, while Med City have 14 points from eight games. That means that a win against Sioux Falls would make Med City unable to take first place from Duluth, but the Dakota Fusion would stay in the race mathematically for at least one more round of games.
