Following two opening wins against the Minnesota TwinStars and the Sioux Falls Thunder, Duluth FC hit the road again Wednesday, traveling to La Crosse for a match against a familiar foe in La Crosse Aris.
Aris have played against Duluth FC since 2016, before the BlueGreens joined the NPSL. Since the formation of the NPSL North in 2017, Duluth has never drawn or lost to La Crosse Aris, winning every single meeting between the two clubs.
While Aris have often struggled to get results in the NPSL, the club have had their share of results and won multiple games last season, both at home and on the road. The BlueGreens won’t be able to take their history for granted and it’ll be another 90 minutes of tense action for the boys.
If Duluth does beat La Crosse Aris, it will mean a perfect 3-0-0 start to the season, a major help in Duluth’s race for the title.
