Current 2023 Records (W-L-T):

Duluth: 11-0-1

TwinStars: 4-6-2

Duluth FC returns to the pitch Wednesday, July 12 to host the Minnesota TwinStars in the NPSL North Conference semifinals, with both teams playing for a spot in the conference final. The TwinStars are a familiar foe, fellow founders of the North conference and a team with decades of history at this level. The TwinStars were part of the picture the last time Duluth won the North conference title in 2017.

Duluth FC’s record against the Minnesota TwinStars remained strong this season with two wins, a 3-0 road victory to start 2023 and a recent 6-1 home win on June 17. Duluth’s 6-1 win at home was their largest scoreline of the season thus far.

The first game of the season, played  at Minnetonka High School against the TwinStars, saw Rory Doyle and Tyler Limmer score their first-ever Duluth FC goals before a penalty from Kostya Domaratskyy secured the 3-0 result. On the second occasion, Duluth’s goalscorers were Felipe Santos, Liam Pritchard, Tom Akinola, Conor Behan, Rory Doyle, and Tyler Limmer.

Duluth enter the post-season after a historic regular season in 2023, which saw the BlueGreens go unbeaten through all 12 of their NPSL games. Duluth is also currently undefeated in all competitions, having played one game in the Minnesota Super Cup. Duluth’s 2023 team are the second to ever go undefeated in NPSL North regular season play and the first to do so since 2018.

Following Josh Bellamy’s goal against the Dakota Fusion on July 8, Duluth now has 13 goalscorers this season. That game also saw Duluth benefit from an own goal for the first time this season, twice.

We look forward to welcoming you all to Public Schools Stadium this Wednesday to embark on this new adventure and bring the beautiful game to the beautiful city!
