Duluth rematched midweek opponent Dakota Fusion on May 25, losing 3-1 to the hosts. The BlueGreens were held to a 0-0 draw midweek but scored twenty minutes into Saturday’s game through Edu Nys, who scored his first DFC goal to make it 1-0. The BlueGreens led by as much at halftime.

After 25 minutes of scoreless play, the Fusion scored three times in the final 20 minutes to take the lead and win three big points over the BlueGreens. It marked the first win over Duluth in several years for the long-time rivals from Fargo-Moorhead. It is Duluth’s first regular season loss this season and overall in regular season play since 2022. The BlueGreens are now 2-1-1.

Duluth will next play on the road against the Minnesota TwinStars on May 29. The TwinStars will be another familiar foe for Duluth, having played against the BlueGreens since 2016.
